So last night, me and my friend Diana and Toby decided to head for dessert after a spicy Chettinad dinner. So my friend Toby offer to treat us with one of the most unusual dessert that is yogurt at The Mugshot Cafe.
So first, he ordered for us a Greek yogurt drizzled with palm sugar aka gula melaka and slices of jackfruit. And I LIKE IT!!!
The gula Melaka is very nice together with Greek yogurt. The tanginess of the yogurt and the sweet and earthy gula Melaka really fuse together without overpowering each other, one taste from the Mediterranean, another one taste from the South East Asia and I got the best of both worlds! yummy. The slices of jack fruit just add some local identity with a little bit of texture and color, for some it may be a little bit odd but for me it is simply genius.
